SUBJECT: CALL FOR RESEARCH PAPERS (Firm Deadline of July 15, 2010)
The Research Committee of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) is pleased to announce the Call for Research Papers for the 62nd Annual Scientific Assembly to be held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center the week of October 26-29, 2010.
Three abstracts will be selected by the TAFP Research Committee from those abstracts received for presentation at the TAFP’s 2010 Annual Scientific Assembly. Those selected will have the opportunity to present their research paper to approximately 225 physicians from throughout the mid-south who attend the TAFP’s Annual Scientific Assembly. Those selected will have up to two (2) night’s lodging and car mileage paid.
Only TAFP Resident and Student members are eligible to participate in the TAFP Research Paper Competition. If you are involved in research or other scholarly activities, the TAFP Research Committee would very much like to have you participate in this Research Paper Competition to let others know of your work.
To submit a Research Paper, please complete and return the attached ‘Application’. *Students & Residents Please Note – You MUST include YOUR personal contact information including current address, phone number and email for your Paper to be accepted for review by the Research Committee. (Attention Academic Faculty: If you would like to be copied on responses sent to your student and/or resident, please include your name, address and email on the form where indicated.)
On behalf of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians, we hope you will be able to attend the TAFP Annual Meeting in October, and that you will consider submitting a Research Paper for consideration by the TAFP Research Committee.
Guidelines for the Research Paper Competition are included with this mailing.
